& Shatter, It Did.

We zipped to IKEA in the late morning with a schedule planned for the day. Mum was going for her singing rehearsals after dropping us back home with the new furniture, I'd begin revising for the exam and Ellya would go out exercising.

As we entered the parking bay, mum began reversing into a space. The beeping of the sensor at the back was barely squealing when we heard a popping crash. I turned without a thought and saw we now had another passenger inside with us; the corner of a giant block of concrete. Mum almost immediately moved the car slightly forward.

I jumped out and noticed the entire single piece of the back window was reduced to a intricate web, a crackling web. Pieces slowly began shattering. Eventually we decided to call off our plans and instead find out what to do about this huge mess.

What I don't understand is why there is a giant block protruding out of the wall. What I don't understand is why is it in the middle of no where. What really bothers me is why there isn't a sign on it but there are on the walls on either side.

Sure if we drove in nose first, we might have made it but honestly should parking space design be so one-sided? Come on, it's called a space after all.
